Two days ago the last little pile of snow vanished outside my house and the temperature raised as high as 18 deg C. So the spring is here now after one of the toughest winters since many years. On April 30 bonfires were lit all over Sweden to celebrate springtime. This is a very old tradition, also in some other countries in Europe, called the Walpurgis Night. The photo below shows the May bonfire yesterday evening in Tyresö near Stockholm.
