Birdwatching and ham radio

The island Öland, the second largest Swedish island in the Baltic sea is famous among birdwatchers during spring and autumn. I visited the island 16-17 April. Besides birdwatching in Ottenby at the southernmost tip I tried QRP from the car with my Yaesu FT-817 for a short moment and managed to have a SSB QSO on 3.75 MHz with Claes, SM5ZBY in Eskilstuna. More photos here.

On April 14 I made a birdwatching visit to Lindö Udde in Blekinge in southern Sweden together with my brother Leif, SM7EQX. Some photos here.
