Sven, SM5LE find out how to mount his feather-light septum 23 cm feed on my 1.8 m dish. This is the set-up to check antenna performance by measuring received Sun noise level on 1,296 MHz.
First checking that the feed is mounted ok by inserting a stick through the center hole of the dish.
And then checking that the Sun´s shadow is on the center hole when receiving maximum Sun noise.
The sun noise was about 4 dB above noise level. There was no difference in receiving on the TX port.
