Hjaelstaviken is a famous birding spot located close to Stockholm in Sweden. Especially during migration in spring and autumn. This day on September 22, 2009 was very windy with geese counted in thousands resting in the lake and farming land nearby. Some geese are flying in from the very far north in the Siberian tundra etc.. Among species seen this day were Bean Goose, Pink-footed Goose, Barnacle Goose, White-fronted Goose and Lesser White-fronted Goose. See video from our visit here and photos here.
