Winter stronghold

Since November it has never stopped snowing. It looks nice I think, but we all here are now longing for springtime.

My 30 years old 12AVQ vertical antenna is still above snow level :-)

Yesterday many ships and ferries (Sweden - Åland - Finland - Estonia) were capture by very thick ice. The photo is from the Swedish Coast Guard and the location is not so far away from OJ0, Market Reef.

This screen shot from aprs.fi this morning shows very well the problem caused by icy waters between SM, Sweden and 0H0, Åland.
