Gotland

Yesterday we took a fast going car ferry from Nynäshamn to Gotland. Travel time only 3 1/2 hours. Gotland is the largest island in the Baltic Sea. The island is very popular during summer holidays.

We have rented this nice cottage built in an old style called post-and-plank in English. This type of house on Gotland is called bulehus in Swedish.

I got permission today to try my FT-817 in the car. No luck, no answers on 80, 40 or 6 meters. I should have brought with me a more powerful radio and wire antennas.

Instead we picked dewberries for a possible pancake later on :-)
