Unmanned mini space shuttle

More space. Have you heard of XB-37B? Well I have not until yesterday when news was published about a successful XB-37B landing after 220 days in space. This unmanned (!) US Air Force secret space plane looks like a mini version of NASA´s space shuttle. It is built by Boeing (photo credit below). At www.space.com there are several photos and they have produced graphics explaining the XB-37. The XB-37 is 9 m long and its wing span is 4 meters and the weight is 5,000 kg.  Read about possible use of this space plane at Universe Today.
