A Short Ham Radio Trip

Today I took a short ham radio trip to nature reserve Bälingeberget. This reserve is a hilltop far up in northern Sweden. QTH locator is KP05wo. My second operator was Pepita, a Keeshond. The sun was soon down and temperature was -9 C. Strange is the little snow on ground at this time of the year. Rig was a Yaesu FT-857D and a G-Whip antenna tuned to 3.75 MHz. It was little activity and I managed only two SSB QSOs. One with another portable station in middle Sweden. Distance to him was approx. 750 km.
